International Construction forum "Interstroyexpo" is the largest event in the North-Western region and it is also the second largest construction event in Russia, after Mosbuild in Moscow.

The two biggest construction exhibitions were held in Saint-Petersburg since 1994 to 1997: the autumn “Interstroy” and the spring “Stroyexpo”. As the result of uniting these two exhibitions, the first International Construction Exhibition “Interstroyexpo” was held in 1997. 

St. Petersburg is the most significant multi-industrial complex of Russian economy , which includes 500 large industrial enterprises, the stuff of which exceed 500000 of people. The part of industry in the volume of received income and tax revenue to the city budget makes up 40%.
